Even in the United States, where generous funding is available for ABA services, tens of thousands of parents and caregivers are on waitlists because of the global staffing shortage of ABA practitioners. In most countries outside the US, parents lack the resources to support their children with autism adequately.
ABA is a highly effective evidence-based intervention and therapy that uses the science of behavior and principles of learning to teach children, adolescents, and adults with autism and other related special needs to reach their highest potential. The best approach to supporting these individuals is early detection and starting interventions as soon as possible. The research supports that the earlier services begin, the greater the chance children will lead happy and independent adult lives.
There are millions of people living with Autism and related disorders who would greatly benefit from ABA. Even with this evidence-based and proven therapeutic modality, there is a massive shortage of qualified and credentialed ABA Clinicians.
Due to the gap in available ABA services, we developed this Journey to Independence Parent Training to support all those families who want to begin the therapeutic process to help their children reach their highest level of independence.
